4Hard foam sample slicerMeasurement methods and steps
Principle 1
The water absorption rate of the material is determined by measuring the buoyancy of the sample soaked in distilled water for a certain period of time.
2 Measurements
The following tests refer to: GB/T 8810-2005 Determination of Water Absorption of Rigid Cellular Plastics Standard Tested object: rigid foam;
Dimensions of the tested object: length 150mm, width 150mm, thickness 75mm; volume 500cm3;
Environmental temperature: (23 ± 2) ° C and (50 ± 5)% relative humidity are suitable;
Soaking solution: distilled water that has been left for at least 48 hours after distillation;
Cut the hard foam into a 150 mm wide, 150 mm thick, 75 mm square object to be tested.
Put the hard foam on the balance pan, weigh the dried hard foam mass (m1), accurate to 0.1g, record it, and then record the hard foam fromRecord it and remove the hanging net cage after recording.Remove the hanging net cage,Loosen the two fixing screws on the sleeves on both sides of the suspended mesh cage and adjust the pressure rod upwards; Then place the hard foam on the four bosses of the disc and center it; Lower the pressure bar to hold the hard foam. Both ends of the pressure bar should be tightly fastened with the hard foam, and tighten the two fixing screws on the sleeves on both sides.Immerse the suspended mesh cage with hard foam into distilled water again, and remove the bubbles on the surface of suspended mesh cage and hard foam with a soft brush or stirring. After soaking for (96 ± 1) h, hang the suspension net cage with hard foam on the lower scale hook of the balance, weigh its apparent mass (m3), accurate to 0.1g, and record itThe balance returns to zero.
Note: When hanging the suspended mesh cage on the balance, the disc of the suspended mesh cage should not touch or rub against the transparent cylinder wall and should be located in the center of the transparent cylinder.Take it off the balance. After the hard foam is removed, the balance returns to zero.Inject distilled water into a transparent tank, with the water level above the faucet height.Immerse the suspended mesh cage in distilled water, remove the surface bubbles of the suspended mesh cage, hang it on the hook of the balance, weigh its apparent mass (m2), accurate to 0.1g, and record it.
